The Takedowns
The Takedowns
The Takedowns self-titled full-length LP comes in hotter than hot with all the energy of the post
Y2K hysteria and the heady haze of a world that was quickly changing in the early aughts.
This new release gives these Bridge Town rockers their long overdue full-length record as it was
intended to be released all those years ago. A band active from 2000 -2005, existing mostly in
the pre-social media world, The Takedowns, played a style of music that didn’t fit neatly into
one genre, concocting a unique mix of punk, garage, & rock ‘n’ roll.
Taken from the original ½” reel recorded at the band’s clubhouse/garage in La Puente in 2003,
it has been remixed, remastered, repackaged and re-released on 12” black vinyl with five
previously unreleased tracks.
